Speed up your recording workflow with a few buttons that are jam packed with functionality.

Features

Record

• One button to start and end recording of clips
• If you mess up a take while recording, simply double tap the record button to delete the clip and start recording a new clip.
• If you press the record button while the selected clipslot already contains a clip, the device will find the next free clip slot in that track.

Delete

• If there are currently recording clips, they are deleted, otherwise delete the selected clip.

Late Finish Compensation (Live 11 only)

For times when it's difficult to trigger the end of the clip in time.

If you accidently end the recording just after e.g. 4 bars finish, Ableton usually waits until the next bar finshes and then starts looping a 5 bar clip, meaning you have to select the clip and trim the end point back to the correct length of 4 bars.

When using this device, you can end the recording slightly after the intended end of the clip, and it will automatically start playing back in time, and trim the clip automatically

Auto Arm

Choose to always arm the selected track. Turn this off to record multiple tracks at once. This functionality is paused while clips are recording

Navigation

4 buttons that act like the arrow keys in session view with some extra functionality. If you press the down arrow while the last scene in selected it will automatically create a new scene. All other arrow buttons wrap around, so if you go left while the first track is selected, it will select the master track

Multiple Armed Tracks

When AutoArm is turned off and multiple tracks are armed, there are two available workflows, changeable in the preferences ⚙️ .

In 'Selected' mode, the device continues to record and delete the selected clip.

In 'Armed' mode, the device records and deletes clips in all armed tracks.
